Santa Barbara Saturday Farmers Market
Weekly Farmer's Market Event.
The Santa Barbara Certified Farmers’ Market Association is a non-profit mutual benefit corporation that was founded in 1983 to provide California farmers with direct access, at landmark locations, to market their cultivated products to the local community. Our Association of 130 grower members, owned and operated by the members and it’s board of directors, is committed to helping promote local farmers, and protecting the environment by sustaining and restoring surrounding agricultural areas. The SBCFMA works diligently to bring the freshest and most nutritious produce our rich, local agricultural land has to offer direct to the public.
The markets serve to strengthen local community ties and magnify our great outdoors with weekly events while enhancing our locals activities. Each week our farmers harvest a diverse and nourishing bounty from as far away as the California’s Central Valley and as near as the foothills. Seasonal diversity is available year round rain or shine. Come. Shop. Socialize. Certified - from the farmer’s hand to you!

About the Market:
The Santa Barbara Certified Farmers’ Market Association (SBCFMA) was established in 1983 as Non-Profit Mutual Benefit Corporation to provide California farmers with direct access to market their products to the local community. The initial farmers’ market in Santa Barbara was held at the Santa Barbara Mission in 1979, which was among one of the first 20 farmers’ markets in the State of California. Some of the original participants, including Randy Wade, Tom Shepherd, and Robert “BD” Dautch, can still be found selling their produce at our Santa Barbara farmers’ markets. Over the years, our Member owned and operated Association has grown to approximately 130 Members, participating in our 6 weekly certified farmers’ markets throughout Santa Barbara, Goleta, Montecito, Carpinteria and Solvang. The SBCFMA is committed to the direct marketing principles of “producer to consumer”, working diligently to bring the freshest and most nutritious produce our rich local agricultural land has to offer, direct to the public. We hope you thoroughly enjoy your farmers’ market shopping experience!
